Prince Fielder. Baseball analysts have noted that the new contract for Ryan Howard made Prince Fielder a very rich man. How does that work? Well, with Fielder younger and (to many) better than Howard, it would mean he's worth a little more than the $25 million annually Howard will nab through 2016. Contract year or not, satellite TV baseball fans would be sensible to watch the Prince attempt to take the Brewers back into contention.

Do people realize that Reyes had almost 30 more SBs than guys like HanRam, Crawford, Byrnes and Roberts. And almost 40 more SBs than Rollins and Figgins? The fact that millions of fantasy fans did not even have the luxury of rostering a participant with more than half his SBs makes you realize just how special Reyes can be. Even though ì¼ë³¸ì•¼êµ¬ì¤‘계 were down from 2006, Reyes gave owners flexibility from needing to roster those dreaded one-category outfielding SB-guys.
First Baseman: St. Louis Albert Pujols (.296, 9 HR, 28 RBI) is in the drivers seat for his sixth consecutive start, even though the Cardinals are mired in a major World Series hangover. Pujols has recovered his sluggers touch in May, batting .340 this month after finishing April using a .250 average. Milwaukee's Prince Fielder (.291, 18 HR, 41 RBI) has helped slug the Brewers into first place with his league-leading 18 home runs and is capable of gaining this spot in 2008 sitting just 100,000 votes behind Pujols this season. Chicago's Derek Lee (.352, 4 HR, 30 RBI) is second in the majors in batting average, but lacks the true power amounts that fans are looking for at this position.
Tim Lincecum. Can a pitcher be the MVP or is that what the Cy Young is for? The discussion will continue, but if there was ever a pitcher that deserved the MVP, it is Tim Lincecum. A Lincecum beginning is like having a 90% chance for the Giants to win. There's absolutely no question he is the main player on his team and could be the biggest reason that they made the playoffs. Alex Rodriguez. Because most analysts mlb player noted in 2009, it is A-Rod who still makes the Yankees go. When he returned to the lineup, Teixeira became the most feared hitter in baseball and in the playoffs A-Rod cemented his god-like status. A World Series title later, the monkey is off King Alex's back (though perhaps not the chip off his shoulder). Still infuriating opposing players with his antics, the Yankees will always endure Alex while he's putting balls in the top deck. Watch him try to make his $30 million on YES.
Baseball Picks & Prediction: There is no way that Anaheim is going to have a losing record again this year, but we aren't so sure that 82-85 wins will really have this club competing in the last weekend of this season. The Halos will beat up on the bad teams, but they will not be able to get into the dance when it is all said and done.
